Notebook Examples and Assignment

 Notebooks

Each day on the syllabus you'll find key works and often key terms. At minimum, you should:
1. Make notes about the overview of the cultures we're discussing that day-- context

2. Record artist, title, date, location and period of each key work. I recommend you sketch them! 
3. Make notes on what the work tells us about history, art, art history, humanity, or other details about the time it's from. (Form, Context+.Meaning)
4. Save space in your notebook to take notes in class on all key works

5. Mark the key works on your map and timeline
